JSUChanticleer.com is produced by The Chanticleer staff, who are students of Jacksonville State University (JSU). We reserve the right to change these terms of use or to modify our services at any time. By continuing to use JSUChanticleer.com after we post notice of any such changes, you agree to be bound by those changes.

JSUChanticleer.com and its individual pieces of content, including but not limited to text, photos, graphics, video and audio recordings are protected by the copyright laws of the United States and other countries. If you post content on our site, you give us the right to use and distribute your content on JSUchanticleer.com and affiliated publications, social media and other channels for all purposes.

Except for content you have posted on our site or content for which we have given express permission, you may not copy, reproduce, distribute, publish, enter into a database, display, perform, modify, create derivative works, transmit, or in any way use or exploit any part of this site. We provide our services “as is,” and we do not guarantee that it will be available without interruption or error. There may be delays, omissions, interruptions and inaccuracies in the news, information or other materials available through our site. We do not  endorse the accuracy, completeness, timeliness or reliability of any advice, opinion, statement or other such material made available through our site. We reserve the right to correct any errors or omissions. While we seek to prevent the introduction of viruses or malware, we can’t guarantee their absence and we are not liable for any damages or harm such versus or malware might cause.

JSUchanticleer.com, JSU, and its affiliates, and their directors, officers, managers, employees, shareholders, agents and licensors are not liable for damages of any kind, including lost revenues or profits, loss of business or loss of data, in any way related to our site or for any claim, loss or injury based on errors, omissions, interruptions or other inaccuracies on our site.

These terms shall be governed by the laws of the United States and the State of Alabama. Any actions or claims brought pursuant to these terms shall be brought in the courts of Calhoun County, Alabama, and you specifically consent to the jurisdiction and venue of such courts.

We welcome your participation in discussion forums, where we encourage you to analyze, comment on and even challenge JSUchanticleer.com’s articles, reviews and multimedia features. We hope that you will interact with leaders in our campus community, with our student journalists and with other audience members.

You understand and agree that JSUchanticleer.com does not monitor content posted on unmoderated forums or social media accounts. However, JSUchanticleer.com may monitor content posted by our users as we choose, and we and reserve the right to remove or edit any content without consent. We also reserve the right to remove any user's privilege to post content on our site or connected forums.

You understand and agree that discussion forums are to be used only for non-commercial purposes. You may not solicit funds, promote commercial entities or otherwise engage in commercial activity in our discussion forums.
